The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step
(Lao Tzu)
Your journey to becoming a martial artist, and beyond has just begun.
Welcome to Shotoryu Bideford!
We practice a traditional style of karate, using flowing techniques which
require whole body movement.
Everyone is welcome and your first practise is free. Whether you are
a beginner or advanced in another style - our doors are always open.
Our five Tenets of practice are:
Breathing,
Relaxation,
Centralisation,
Concentration
and Harmonisation.
Whilst fitness and flexibility are key components of martial arts you dont
have to possess these qualities as a beginner. Our classes are designed to gradually improve your fitness to levels which will surprise you.
Adult classes
It's never too late, no matter what your age, martial arts can feed your mind, energise your body, give you a new interest, new challenges. Come along for a first night "free"
session.
